LOL... did you really ride that off road?

I think I must have jinxed myself, saying i didnt want to do myself a mischief... i was in the lift leaving work with my bike ( roadie) and a woman said to me, ooh you want to be careful, those car drivers dont see cyclists...
so i replied.. its not the car drivers, its those trams and their tram lines youve gotta watch for....

thats right... on my way home... crossing the 4 lines at that junction past the train station... front wheel just slid out along the last line, tried to correct it, no chance, wheel went straight in the groove and threw me over the bars...
I had already managed about 4 expletives before i hit the deck, the fella who helped pick me up off the floor seemed quite suprised that a woman could find so many different swear words in such a short space of time.

so got a very nice purple hip and a limp. luckily bike got away with just a few scrapes. ( good job I was wearing a helmet too)

think i would have been better off on the mtn bike.

Jayne, Elliott did warn you about the rails!

The cruiser was good fun - it's the white wall tires that were a drag to clean, but with knobblies I don't mind getting it dirty. We finished at the club and got bemused looks from the oldies.

Grahame had plans for a nightride next Thursday, I won't make it cos I'll be in a plaaaaane to Chamonix.

Good chance of me being there as well.
I can remember how to get to the tram tracks.
Climbing like a downhiller, descending like a glacier
