Thanks for the ride yesterday. Good "rolling" route, makes you appreciate the descents more.

good ride in all. These are just the thing for the winter. Andrews cheeky ride over towards white hill did phsych me out a bit. All systems shut down for a while....I blame in on the run the day before...

Highlight of the day was barrelling down off ashdown forest at 40 - 45 mph, spinning in top gear whilst trying to stick with Ant when he wound it up....brill...

Yes - nice morning out in good company. Sorry I had to duck out early - had a lunch date and as usual, had been wildly unrealistic about timings.

After turning off at Squerry's Lane (?), I decided to do something a bit different by way of route home, so plumped for Rectory Lane off the A25 at Brasted. After a nice drag up to the Pilgrim's Way, it turns into a pretty nasty climb, as Andrew describes. It felt longer than Sundridge Lane, but the two must run pretty much parallel to each other, so that may be due to my preparation of beer and curry goat the night before.

Anyway, what with that, and the subsequent climbs of Cudham and Anerley crammed into my 50 miles, I felt satisfied with the morning's exertions - and didn't have to rush straight out when I got home.

Thanks to Andrew for organising. See you all soon.
