Well that was nice. I met George and Dave (minus Jon's haddock) at GBs and we set off for Betchworth to meet the Over The Hill Gang ride. We collected Alan and Geraldine on the way and then met the other OTHGers.

Today's ride was an easy paced ride, Tuesday's OTHG does two groups with a faster and slower group apparantly. A crisp early morning but suitably clothed it was beautiful out there today with some smashing views under the blue sky.

Lots of lanes and left right jinks as we made our way out to the cafe stop at the garden centre at Four Elms. I knew a fair amount of the lanes on the route but a lot of the little linking jinks and links were new to me and nice to travel down, apart from the one covered with a thin skin of slurry that means the bike needs a thorough clean. A pleasant ride in some very nice and welcoming company.

After the stop we split depending where we were going back to. George, Dave, Alan, and myself headed back over Hosey Common and Botley back to home. The pace picked up a bit and I couldn't quite hold on to George and Dave up Hosey Cpommon and they rode off easily up Botley before we all regrouped and bid farewell to each other as we turned off in turn.

Thanks to Alan for introducing us to the Over The Hill Gang rides and George for reminding us that there was one today. not a training ride day but an enjoyable scoot through the countryside.
