[quote="Grahame"]Two hissy fits in two days from Wiggins (Cameraman who got in his way on Saturday, Journalist who dared to ask about doping on Sunday).

Am I alone in becoming less impressed with the man as an ambassador for our sport?

I'm just happy with the fact that he's excelling as an elite cyclist. Whether or not he meets people's expectations to be an "ambassador for our sport" comes way down the list.

Storming ride from van Garderen!!! So close... Froome is going even better :D

'Sticks' is wearing a golden yellow skinsuit - apparently they had difficulty finding one skinny enough

Nice to be at home watching it...

If you're stuck in an office, there is live data on the internets. Allegedly.

Says "showers" for tomorrow. Better than Sunday then. If it was dry then Tom was thinking of making his Palace debut.

Awesome TT'ing from the boys today. If they can hold it together, Froome looks like a shoe-in for 2nd (and would be already were it not for a puncture).

I notice that the BBC news website has some Scottish loser on the front page but not Brad. Hmm.

Sod all this cycling gubbins, I was astounded to see Wiggins in black socks today. When I rode regularly with ACC I, and doubtless others too, were roundly criticised  by the ACC fashion police for wearing black socks. So whassup - is it now OK, or do we make an exception for the man in yellow? :D

I thought they were just long shoe covers.

Marginal gains.

The news seems to have hit the Today Programme. Can we look forward to a Wiggins/Humphrys interview? Will it make James Naughtie introducing the culture secretary seem like nothing?

I tend to agree with Phil and Grahame here, and "People can't accept that it's possible with hard work alone/what else can we do to prove it" doesn't seem a fair thing to say given (a) how many times 'hard work alone' has turned out to be a lie (b) it is certainly possible for Sky to be more transparent and have a more selective hiring process for their team doctors.

People are saying that the climbing numbers indicate that Sky would be also-rans in the peleton of 10 years ago. Admittedly I'm not in a position right now to go crawling the internet in search of hard data to back that up. I do recall that Rolland's climb of Alpe d'Huez last year was > 10% slower than Pantani. That suggests that the modern peleton is at least cleaner.

That said, why they had to hire Leinders is a mystery to me. Terrible decision.

I'd be annoyed too if I'd trained really hard* but was then accused of cheating.

Benefit of the doubt for now and good luck to them.

*I'd be very surprised if I trained really hard

fair enough. BTW i didn't intend to cast particular aspersions in Sky's direction, more explain why i thought Wiggins' outburst was unwarranted.
