[quote="Andrew G"]Clubhouse was kept historically Snoop as there was nowhere else to store the competition rollers.

Yes. When we have discussed it in committee, it appeared that a storage unit would be more expensive.

I think there are a bunch of those exercise balls in there. Might be useful to people - if nothing else to remake The Prisoner.

Thanks Phil - A set of rollers is around £200 so paying £500 a year to store 'em sounds like dodgy maths to me. Good decision :)

They aren't normal training rollers. They are large competition rollers and scoreboard.

we need to get rid of the rollers as no one uses them and the last time they were used in anger was around 5 years ago. i would say its not worth keeping the clubroom anymore.

That's what I'd go for too George. Last time they were used was when I tried to organise a rollers night to make use of them and the clubroom and it attracted a grand total of half a dozen people. Not sure what the market is like for selling them but whatever we got would be more than (£500)pa.
I'll ping PVT an email to put it on the committee meeting agenda or it will keep getting forgotten.

We will probably still have to pay something if we want to carry on using the small room for committee meetings - which is included in the £40 a month. Otherwise we'll have to use the Builders Arms.

I'm sure the pub would be happy to have you. We had an EGM a few years back at the Lindfield Road Social Club. Granted that place is not everyone's cup of tea (or pint of beer) and it made for a very useful and convivial meeting. We got our business done and those who wanted, enjoyed a beer or two afterwards.

Lindfield Rd is a perfect place for committee meetings and a crafty pint of beer :D

Just not that easy to get to and rather tucked away down a dark driveway.... otherwise a good idea.

I'm thinking more of the Spreadeagle or the Half'n'Half - both have a room or rooms for hire.

Where's the nearest place to Joyce's? Everyone else has more transport options.
