Ok, ok, you guys were right, a road bike IS faster than a mountain bike, even one with 1" slicks and road-like gearing.

A bit less confortable with the horizontal position, my legs hurt a bit differently too, and it's going to take me some time to get used to the shifting and braking positions, not sure I'll want to commute in heavy traffic with it. But I'm keeping it!
