Having not ever met "John" (even though I may have spoken to him on the Club Run) I feel I have missed a great MAN. And can only wish him well on his Journey.

Please pass on my condolences to his Wife, Children, Family and Friends.

Nick and Family.

ok guys, heres the latest

Coroner has been unable to find the cause of death and has opened an
inquest, which is heartbreaking. The way i see it if they can't find a
cause of death, then he isn't dead, he should be here with me. It just
doesn't make sense

If anyone who was in the pyrenees with him has any information about
how he
was last week then please let me or Rob know. Did he complain of tummy
ache
or head aches, did he have any difficulties riding?????????????????????

The only thing they found was blood in his urine and stomach but this
wouldn't have killed him.

The body is being released on Tuesday and i'm going to try and start
making
funeral arrangements with his mum... The date will be given as soon as
i
know.

Many peopl have asked for mine and his mums address for flowers...we
have
both decided no flowers, but have opened a 'JOHN IBBOTSON MEMORIAL
TRUST'

If you wish to make a donation the bank said we can accept cheques, but
it
won't be possible to make money transfers as we don't yet have the
account
number.

We aim to put this money towards sponsoring a young rider or club or
just
something close to Johns heart. Putting money back into his lifetime
hobby
seems most appropriate.

Cheques must be made payable to 'John Ibbotson Memorial Trust' and can
be
sent to
Sam at Fit-For
15 High Street
Tadworth
KT20 5QU

As John would say - Yours in Sport.....Samx

I hope there will be some sort of ride to remember John by and the idea of a memorial trust is a nice gesture. Even if it just means meeting at the top of Box Hill to have some traditional coffee and Ibbo-cake, I'm sure it will be of help and rememberence for everyone who knew John. Though the weather looks crap for this weekend.

I've edited out what I asked earlier. I should have read all the posts in this thread before posting. Sorry.
