Now we seem to have complete confusion about what time and where.

To make everyone happy lets go for 11am at Coulsdon South Station.

I hope you all read this before you go this morning. I have a feeling we will all be riding up and down the A23 looking for each other.

See you later.

In the end I didn't see anyone at 10 at CSS and did a 40 mile circuit of Newdigate, Box Hill and home. Weather was pretty good and ride was steady

Cheers

I had the day off and was planning to ride today, saw the start of this post the other day and was going to check details here last night, but the forum was bust again! Anyway I mixed training ride with Xmas shopping as I rode to Guilford to buy my sister a refurbished Ipod from an Apple shop there.

Actually must've passed Coulsdon shortly after 10 but didn't see anyone there (though I didn't look that well not knowing any of the details of an eventual ride).

On the way back, who do I meet at the bottom of Box Hill?
Gavin, who'd been doing 60km at great speed with Marek and was looking knackered after been off the bike for a bit. I gladly took the lead and we rode back to Croydon, thankfully with a bit of a tailwind which was most welcome.

Third time up Box Hill in a week! And with this ride I accomplished my (futile) goal of 12,000km this year, which had eluded me for the last couple years :D

You guys are a nightmare. Anyway, at least Gavin and I got to CSS on time. We waited until 11.15am so if you had cycled faster you would have come with us.

Gavin and I went over to Abinger via Rusper, Capel, Ockley. Was a real shame that the Cafe was closed but we managed to get some nice cake in the shop next door. Gavin has not ridden for 6 weeks or so and he was struggling a little bit but didn't bother me as I was quite happy with a nice steady pace. Need to work off all the wine and mince pies I have been eating recently.

We split up after our cake stop and Gavin went back via Whitedown. I went over Leigh hill and into Ockley again. I then went over to Ifield, Crawley and then back to East Grinstead. I punctured in Copthorne and that took me a while to fix as my pump or the valve did not seem to be working too well. I then had to cycle the remaining 5 miles back to East Grinstead standing up over the front as my back wheel was still pretty flat.

Reckon I got in about 130km all in all. I then got home and the wife sent me up to town on my mountain bike to get some last minute Xmas shopping. I think my legs are going to fall off. Think I need to ask someone to stick a new pump onto my Xmas list.

I am off to Poland tomorrow so have a happy Xmas everyone, see you in the new year for the Kent reliability rides.

Cheers

Thanks Marek and Sylv for pulling me round today 90km after 6 weeks off is pretty hard without going over whitedown and box hill. Had a good time even though I was struggling a bit.

Think I will have to cut down on the mince pies whitedown was absolutely horrific 4.4kph at one point and all I could think was it won't beat me I won't stop....

Met Robbie outside gbcycles (didn't go in it's toooo dangerous). We missed him by 5 minutes and when I got home I had a text from sean saying he would be late.

Well hope everyone has a good xmas and see you at new years eve ride or sometime in the new year.

Cheers
