yep...the 'Christmas stars' syndrome.

It's great to be really into your biking and be riding with the fast boys, but can one really keep this up till Oct next year without,at best, being a little jaded?

One hard ride a week wouldnt hurt anybody - Greg Lemond used to race Cyclo-cross from October to January twice a week.

Toks - I'm just trying to stir up some healthy rivalry which hopefully will do us all some good. I'm intending to race the whole season if I'm competitive.

Oh I agree. Its also important to know what you can handle training wise. The more fitter riders amongst us could get away with a couple of close to race pace efforts each week as long as our overall volume wasn't too high...But its also important to factor in mental tiredness and if this occurs for too long you're gonna start to go backwards. But if you're highly motivated and you've recovered fully from each effort then there shouldn't be a problem. Cool, sounds good to me. Hopefully I'll be down to sample some more 'training group' flavour' ACC style in a couple of weeks :D

CHeers for the reminder Toks, U guys have definately given us newbies something to aim for!!! 8)

With your help maybe the addiscombe can become official feeder club for mosquito bikes squad.

I was on the red condor at this years Ride of the Falling Leaves and when two guys came past in Addiscombe colours after the pub stop at Westerham I thought i'd grab your wheel. Managed for a little while but the two of you working together was too much for me to keep up with. That'll be the steel frame :) Anyway mucho impressivo riding!!!!! Chapeau as they say on the Tour!!!!!

Just dont forget where you came from!!!!
As if that's possible from the UK's largest cycling club!!!
Up the yellow black and Gold!!!! :D

Are you allowed to show any allegiance to your old club even though you'll be racing for another squad??? :?:

I imagine my socks may be the yellow and black of ACC, although my misses has washed them a few times on high and they are more like Mustard and grey.

Cheers

two and half years on and off in ACC colours, although this year was my first proper season - how can I forget? :D [quote]Are you allowed to show any allegiance to your old club even though you'll be racing for another squad???
As I said already, I definitely wouldn't chasedown any ACC breakaways. I'd just sit on the chasers and take things from there
