There were quite a few today, and also young Toks in his flash new Mossie jersey.

Quite why they asked us to get there at 7:30 I don't know as we stood about getting cold for 2 hrs! Was fine as first having a chat with club mates, but then the various levels of dithering by the crew made you think you were on your way, then not, etc, etc.

Clotheswise Phil was a returnee wearing a lovely suit they'd given him that was so shiney an 80s estate agent woudn't wear it :) . Complete with overshoes it gave somewhat an ice skater appearance. Simon(?) was given a strangely patterned nylon hoodie for some reason, don't know why as his clothes were muted colours, maybe the wardrobe chap just liked it/him.

Eventually we set off for the city do do circles of a loop in similar peleton fashion as Sylvain describes. Made interesting by all the holes in the road, bollards, skips, builders vehicles. Not sure why they chose these roads as there are plenty similar looking ones without so much crap in the road. All this was 5min ride, 5min stand about for about 40 mins.

Back to base by which point I'd had enough all ready as the crews organisation seemed a bit hit and miss, and I had no desire to stand about bored all day (they said we'd be there until the light went!)

Vented my frustration by blasting home and intervalling the hills. I'll be interested to see if it got any better, maybe my frustration kicked in early as I'd only had 4 hours sleep.

Oh well live and learn, I'm not cut out for a career in filming adverts I know that now.

As Andrew said, we stood around getting cold for the the best part of two hours, which was only relieved by the ample supply of free breakfast, tea & coffee.

Phil was back in the shiney suit, and Paul "ASBO" Tunnell was given a very fetching hoodie.

We headed off into the city with a police escort for some stop and start circuits. The director wanted footage of a fast closely packed peloton following the yellow jumper guy. What he didn't appreciate was the dynamics of a mixed peloton of club riders, couriers and general leisure cyclists / commuters on a quite dodgy city circuit.

Back to HQ for coffee, biscuits and more standing around.

Next up was three times over Waterloo bridge with no police presence to control the traffic.

Back to HQ for a slap-up lunch including pudding. However, just as it was time for a post-lunch kip, the buggers rallied us for the next session.

Twice over Southwark bridge both ways, this time with some proper police closure of the road so we could use the whole width and do U-turns at both ends. Much better.

Final session was on a little kind of dead-end road opposite the end of Southwark bridge. This involved mucho standing around, riding for about 50 metres then turning round and going back for another take. Was getting very bored by this time, but as I'd stuck it out this long I thought I'd better stick around to get the dosh at the end. The final scene involved the return of the old lady in the yellow coat, just as the light was fading.
