I did get a good chuckle this morning when waiting at the lights just after the Elephant and Castle roundabout I pulled up , unclipped and stood there. Crash, muffled umpf sound, turned round and saw a bloke still clipped in but flat on his side in the road with a sheepish grin on his face. Full marks to him for commenting straight away "only ever happens in front of a crowd doesn't it?" :lol: .

Is that the retro black peaked one Sean? I got one when they came out as I always liked that style of hat but everyone seemed to have stopped making them. You're right it is very good, and when it warms up a bit you don't overheat in it and just fold up the ear/back skirt.

Thirty five quid for a wooly hat :shock:

My gran could knit you one for a lot less than that, and it would be a one-off exclusive piece of boutique winter outerwear. :lol:

I rather think you're all exaggerating a little. I found today merely a little

[quote="Antloony"]I had a great commute this morning from the bedroom to the living room via the kitchen to put the kettle on. Working from home today....well when I say working...

You won't get very fit like that. You want to get yourself a hilly commute for home 'working' days - mine is out of the bedroom, down to the kitchen for a cuppa, and then back up past the bedroom to the top bedroom.

Got my hat for about 20 quid with some kind of offer on an email. Not wishing to cast doubt on your grannies knitting jon but I doubt it would be up to the same standard. I look forward to seeing you in your nan's tea cosy next time I see you.

Come to think of it, she hasn't been doing much knitting lately; probably because we cremated her 25 years ago.

That might explain it then, probably how Rapha managed to sneek in to the gap in the market.

I paid just £8 for my rather stylish GioGoi beanie type tea cosie headwear this afternoon, a bargain I thought.

Good one Adam, mind you I bet you don't get top kwality marketing guff like this with yer beanie:;

[quote]Rapha winter hat

Fabric brushed sweat-wicking Sportwool :shock: . Good looking and itch free :shock: :shock: (like I'd go out of my way to buy an ugly, itchy hat :? )
Features Warm and breathable (unlike the plastic bag I usually wear on me 'ead :twisted: ). Soft mesh lining wicks perspiration. Stiffened peak (finbar) and ribbed (double finbar) ear flap (can be folded up, oooh goody). 7 panel construction for comfort (sorry I prefer my hat beaten from a single panel of rusty iron for discomfort). Discrete Rapha label and embroidered logo (hurp). Fits under helmet (triple finbar). Classic Belgian style (you mean like beer???).

Seriously, I feel sick.
