It is known as the San Francisco of Britain.

Forget Brighton for once, how about a yomp up to Ashdown Forest and back via Penshurst, with a bit of luck the weather will be kind and the views from the top o' Ashdown will be smashing. Can be extended easily for those wanting a longer ride of kept simple for those needing to get back home.

I'll be up for a little trip on the 28th. Don't mind where although Ashdown will make a nice change what with Kidds Hill and all. Andrew G if you remember could you text me if the ride's happening as I dont have one of these computer things at home. Cheers.

Think it's Brighton on the 28th and the PVT train. I'll be doing a longer Ashdown Forest run early in the New Year as per last Sunday's planned but aborted ride.

Paul - why don't you try my version of the Brighton run - it's much nicer and I think a bit easier on the legs than the normal route :D

Andrew, I may be up for that ride :D

Amy,
There is no such thing as a "normal" route - I don't think I have been the same way twice, but we always include Ditchling

I am open to any suggestions - can you put your route up please?

Thanks

As far as I know Snoopster then Saturday at CSS as normal. The Pine Cafe isn't open so it's alternative route time folks.

Last week I went Newdigate and then turn off for Box Hill return loop which runs in at a similar distance (couple of miles shorter) to the normal route with a Redhill return. If anyone knows a good route of a similar distance to a normal CR that has a cafe that'll be open at the appropriate interval then shout out at CSS and it could be used as an option. I don't know how many will be out but I doubt many cafes will cope with the usual run of people the way Renate does so it's probably better that we spread ourselves out a bit on Saturday.

Given the usual allowance for mechanicals etc I would estimate arrival time in Brighton at around 12:00noon

Hills
