[quote]That's it, I didn't chose this option. The dowloaded data seems to do though (is yours different to what the computer read at the caf?), as it shows 225w av to the caf.
Still, assuming we've both put on as much weigh  (more 1.5kg than 10) if we'd ridden equal turns at the front (and we know we didn't) my 225 should be over 268 for you. I think there is still something else different in our setups/hubs(?), either that or my 225 does not actually include coasting. Next time I'll change it to include it.

I have a older "cheaper" model PT which doesnt have the coasting option. If I manually take the zeros off the download file, it gives me an average of 268w. Im 73kg at the moment but as the ride was reasonably flat, I dont think weight makes a lot of difference. According to Power Calc, 5kg would only cost another 4w at 23mph on the flat.

Makes sense yes. So estimating 10w more needed due to weight only, you'dv'e worked about 10w more than me on average (only that?).

Experimenting with the software:

No wonder my legs hurt trying to chase you down Sylv, even with the help of Stu it was bloody hard work. I've clocked up just shy of 270 miles this week so I think I can be allowed to be feeling a little worn out.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr indeed.

Happy new year to ALL in the ACC.

Wow that was a shock to the old system after spending nearly 3 weeks in Portugal, nice to see that I was not the only nutter doing a sub zero CR. As Amy has kindly remarked upon, in still in Christmass eating mode

It would of been so easy to pass on the CR but so glad I got the first one under my belt.

There is a new cycle route on the Algarve now covering approx 245Km (or something like that!), clearly sign posted and doubled up with a 4" wide blue line marked on the road. I wish I had taken my bike.

Hope you all have a great 2009

Hi there.

So this Hilly 50 that some of you were you were on your way back from, when our paths crossed near Friday Street, is that the same route as the CTC one on 14 Feb? If so anyone got a GPS/Bikely etc route?

Glad some of you recognised me on my MTB!

Yep - same route. Though it'll be a tad quicker on the 14th

Check the Hilly 50 post in Sportives and Trips Elliot as I think there is a link to Blikey from there.

Sylv, how come your HR is so steady? Particularly on the turbo reps? Or is it average/rolling max?

No, for those samples it is not averaged so there should be one reading every 2 secs.

For the intervals the rests are so short (10s) that the HR hardly goes down. But the scale is small compared to speed or power (same scale, so +100w = +100bpm) - see the diff between 127 and 171bpm, so hard to see small variances.
