the two are slightly different. the Surrey league stuff over at Hillingdon are for total beginners and 4th cats only. ( so im told)
this one is for 4ths up to 1sts, open to other local club riders who arent eligeable for the Surrey league hillingdon events.
I'm really looking forward to the training session, even though I will be standing at the side more than riding a bike...

Sounds like it should be fun !

But on this occassion I'm plumping for the Hillingdon event because according to the British Cycling calendar it's open to 4th cat guys and 3rd and 4th cat women as well as beginners to road racing (as opposed to beginners to cycling which are 2 different things). I'm a 3rd cat female beginner to road racing, and in the real world I will end up racing with 4th cat blokes so Hillingdon will be more at my level. I can only dream of doing road racing sessions with 1st cat guys !

you cant rely on the weather

Postby JayneToyne » Wed Feb 25, 2004 7:30 pm

after watching the weather forecasts closely via the met office for the past few days, i have decided to cancel this weekends race coaching session and move it to March instead.
The last thing anyone wants is an accident on icy roads while sprinting etc.

the two dates are still consecutive weekends,
thats 6th MARCH for the first one and 13th MARCH for the second one.
Both meet at 10am at the Golf course car park on the Horne circuit. (map is attached somewhere on this thread)

I hope the same people who put their names down for it can still make either or both of those dates. And maybe some who couldnt make it before can make the new date of 13th march.
Please spread the word and try to encourage as many racers down there as possible. it will be a great two days of preparation for the season.

cheers

JT
