[quote="Sylv"]Oh no it’s starting all over again.

You can’t please everyone. There are aspects of this new kit I don’t like that much, but if every single person starts pointing out to small changes they’d want, we’ll never get there (again). Unless they want to be in charge of the whole thing themselves of course.

agree, be good to have two or three options to choose from though, is that possible?

I *think* the plan is to have two new design proposals, so a 3-way vote is possible:
1) Adopt new design No1
2) Adopt new design No2
3) Keep the existing design.

Though I may be wrong on this, that is what I would like to see.

That makes sense, too many options will just confuse people! ;)

[quote="Amy"][quote="Grahame"]My view is absolutely "no" to sponsors. That way leads to new kit every year as the sponsorship deal ends, and even more expense for those who absolutely must be in the latest kit.

+1

I won't wear the kit if it's sponsored :x

What's wrong with sponsorship? Many other clubs do and their kit as a result doesn't cost as much as ours. We give support to many local businesses, GBs to name but one. And it's hardly being a corporate whore - nobody's suggesting we go around with Exxon-Mobil or Microsoft emblazoned across our chests.

I for one am proud to wear kit of mighty Kazakh racing team - voted number one by Chemistry Today magazine and sponsored by Air Astana - voted safest Kazakh airline not banned from EU airspace.

[quote="Grahame"]Plus I don't want to look like a corporate whore.

As opposed to a non-corporate one? :?

Oh hell -not all this again! I would like to caution (again) on AGM vote, firstly not all can attend and not all use the internet so voting would need to be postal, but anyway, AGMs are for rule changes and elections. Since we elect a committee we do so to enable them to make decisions on our behalf. Leave it to them and go with the flow! BTW I quite like the kit - no doubt it could be changed a bit here and there but not to any monumental advantage - nobody really rubbished it on the club run and indecision, as in the european debt crisis is the worst possible option as everyone will delay buying kit until it is sorted. come on guys! 8)

I don't wear it and I don't have a single item of yellow/gold clothing-

I didn't join the club because of the colour and design of its kit- I do however like the new style.

I'm afraid the design will never be to everyones taste and the committee have a thankless task listening to everyone other person wingeing and moaning- just be thankfull we are not a kickball club who change kit about once a year, home and away.

Lots of black is good, white as well, blue is my favourite colour- no red 'cept on wheels.

Don't get me wrong, I quite like this design - just seeing it in the round though has confirmed me in my preference for one of the other options (2d for those in the know). So I hope that's one of the options when we come down to the final choice at the AGM.

New design looks really nice, but is it aero? Seems to be the way forward, Sky/GB, Garmin, London Dynamo, Kingston Wheelers, etc...

Aero? Doesn't it depend on who's wearing it

John, design 2d just has yellow on the shoulders not black. But it's all up in the air, waiting for the committee to decide on the final two designs which will then be put to the membership at the AGM.

I think the yellow shoulders would be better for being visible.

I think we should congratulate Rogan and Andy for actually designing something - and not bad too :D
