Just a quick note to say a big thank you to everyone who turned up to marshall last night. I think the organisers were genuinely shocked at how many ACCers were there to help AND we had 3 others racing.

Cheers all, David.

No Elliott, I still have my compact Canon, but on some of the pics I (somewhat involuntarily at first) got an effect a bit similar to what you can do with an SLR when you zoom in while taking the photo, and that renders the centre in focus and the edges blurry (I was pulling the camera towards me during the shot). It looks a bit wide-angley too. This has worked best on the photo of the other Dynamo rider.

Also I played a bit with the shutter speed, some of the better ones were done at around 1/80s with a medium flash and following the rider's movement. But my batteries were low from the start so it was a bit of a nightmare as sometimes it just wouldn't want to focus, so I had to concentrate on acc riders only.

I loved the moment when, looking through my camera I shouted "go on Tim", only to be replied "no, I'm George!".

Sounds like an superb event David, and following hot on the heels of Paul Tunnell and Maria David's excellently promoted road race and time trial, this year has really raised the bar for Addiscombe events. Big pat on the back to all involved.

Next ACC event is the Handicap at Newchapel on 18 May promoted by Marek Siwicki.

As ever, he needs YOUR help to make the event as successful as the others have been and I know he still needs more volunteers. Please pm him with your offers of assistance.

Go on...you know you'll get a little warm glow inside.....and get to see some great racing.
