Box: bottom of the Zig Zag to grass island by the first car park = 8:15 (3 years ago, when I was fit and sucking Ibbo's wheel)

Box: at the weekend = 8:37

Toys Hill: first go two days ago on the Brasted (aka "easy") side from the 40mph signs to the pub car park = 9:50

Haven't done the "soul destroying" steep side of Toys since Maria did it for the first time, on the epic Penshurst ride with me, Phil et al. We all nearly passed out in our risotto when we got back to the George Walk.
I have a will of steel and legs of fire.

Hey, I was there. Epic is right. That was my first time ever out with the Addiscombes or any other group. I remember Toy's Hill in particular because I'd spent the previous two hours or so on my own. So imagine my joy and relief at not only making it over Toy's Hill alive, but seeing Dan, Maria and Phil at the top of it. Little did I know then that we still had Westerham and many other hills to go, but still...

I don't think that risotto at the caff even touched the sides on the way down.
