Thanks for sorting them out Paul. By the way, there is a thread on LCS about lap counting. Someone suggested having a lap counter at a point in the course where the riders have to slow down like on a tight corner or coming up a hill.

Sounds a good idea. In fact, we could have had a lap counter on the sketch corner where Tamar was standing. The rider's wouldn't have been slowed down they would've been stationary - some even on the deck ! Alot easier to read a number though

We could even have a damp cloth to wipe the number as they go past or get them to shout their number out (if they can)

Every beastway race would have 2 to 3 S-bends just after the finish line to slow people down for the lap counters. It's very rare in CX though, I think only one race last year. I guess when the weather turns bad we could just put in some S's at the last minute. Not sure what the rule-book will say though !

Yeah the corner i was marshalling at the top of the zig zag climb would have been perfect for counting laps as all the riders were at their slowest point and i was able to see pretty clearly who each guy was. Even you Marco!!

Spoke to Brian at Corridori yesterday and he said about the thread on Lcs and someone there had mentioned having numbers on the arms like we did at Hillingdon. Sounds like a good idea as harder to be obscured by mud up there.
