[quote="Andrew G"]Not wishing to cast doubt on your grannies knitting jon but I doubt it would be up to the same standard.

Come to think of it, she hasn't been doing much knitting lately; probably because we cremated her 25 years ago.

That might explain it then, probably how Rapha managed to sneek in to the gap in the market.

I paid just £8 for my rather stylish GioGoi beanie type tea cosie headwear this afternoon, a bargain I thought.

Good one Adam, mind you I bet you don't get top kwality marketing guff like this with yer beanie:;

[quote]Rapha winter hat

Fabric brushed sweat-wicking Sportwool  . Good looking and itch free   (like I'd go out of my way to buy an ugly, itchy hat :? )
Features Warm and breathable (unlike the plastic bag I usually wear on me 'ead  ). Soft mesh lining wicks perspiration. Stiffened peak (finbar) and ribbed (double finbar) ear flap (can be folded up, oooh goody). 7 panel construction for comfort (sorry I prefer my hat beaten from a single panel of rusty iron for discomfort). Discrete Rapha label and embroidered logo (hurp). Fits under helmet (triple finbar). Classic Belgian style (you mean like beer???).

Seriously, I feel sick.

Rode my fixie to work for the first time today :)

Including City (bit too much stop/start there) and West End. Got a front brake but tried to use it as little as possible so as to not wear out the black anodisation on the rim - after 1h35 I could really feel the effort in my knees, will have to use the brake more if I do this regularly.

Was good fun though, kept the HR nice and low, no loud freewheel to cover the sound of my Ipod, no clunky drivetrain (the chain on my commuter is almost rusted solid since the snow/salt days recently) and it certainly keeps you wide awake even at 6.30am!!

I've managed four days out of five, all on fixed. Not bad for a chilly week.

This morning I noticed that instead of "Wind-Stopper" my gloves have a label saying "Wind-Breaker". So that's where the farty noises are coming from

Yep Me Too

four out of five (none of which were on fixed) and a 5k run one lunchtime.

The cold wasn't too bad until (like Sylv said) I got the inevitable puncture. My hands just about stuck to the wheel - maybe licking it was a bad idea ;)

Only 3 out of 5 for me  - but to be fair that was due to other meetings

Today seemed the coldest

I had a really tough commute this morning......A double expresso before walking to the train, most of which is down hill :D ,put the ipod shuffle on and the nearest thing I got to a bike was opening Vin Densons autobiography.
News years resolution...stop being a lazy git and cycle to work
