Well, that was a an excellent day out! :D

Well done all the Team GB riders. Congratulations to our new Olympic Time Trial Champion: Bradley Wiggins & Bronze Medallist: Chris Froome.

Amy, thanks again for the information regarding the venue at Weston Green, and the secure bike parking at your parents's home (such a beautiful location!)
Thanks everyone for your companionship on the ride out and back and during the day.

My parents were happy to help and I think my Dad enjoyed himself in his own way... I hope that my knowledge of the locality saved any fannying about  though it wasn't too much of a problem getting across the route. Hope the dreads guy didn't get in trouble for letting us across but I can't see why if they were letting people walk across anyway. Was a good day out :D

ps anyone seen that photo that guy took of us? I can't remember where he said he was from.

Great day out, and a great result :D Tao really enjoyed it, and was very excited to show all his pictures to Daddy. His favourite cyclists are now Badley Wiggins, Eddy Merckx ... and mummy, who he thinks rode in the Tour de France!! He also can't stop talking about Tom and his Addiscombe jersey (which he took lots of pictures of). Hopefully this has inspired the little man to get on his bike

Met her mum on the start line, dad was there too, great family. We therefore gave her a huge cheer out and back.

A somewhat stupid choice of wheel to use outside an indoor track in any conditions.

Im sure they said at the start that full front discs where banned, Unless only by UCI. BTW Mr Pat seemed to be evrywhere yesterday.
Her mum said her dad was an olympian in the 80's, could be his wheels.

What's Sean Hogan doing leading the band in that last photo?

Great day out yesterday. Sorry I scooted off with (?, sorry) at Cheam village on the way back - was ravenous and risked missing a hot date with a lamb shashlic.

Thanks to Amy and her family for putting up with us and our bikes, and for living so near to the pub 8)

Pubs - plural.

Yes, thanks to Amy's parents. Very useful to be able to put the bikes somewhere secure while we were elsewhere engaging in shouting, clapping and drinking beer. And fiddling with stopwatch apps.

A grand day out,
WTF- that front disc, there is a you tube flick with Steve Baeur (sp) coming a right gutser on a TDF stage ( or some other stage race) using a front disc.

On a lighter note what has happened to Tony Martins head in the medal pic- shurely that has been cut from a much larger photo and "shopped" on. It looks like its been given the George treatment.
