Cheers Paul.

S'alright I've turned my brain on, asked the young laydee at work who comes from "the island".

Car park right next to ferry, another one about 2 minutes away if that's full.
Ticket office next to ferry - roll up, get ticket, ride on ferry.

Cue bandit jokes  .

Your right Chris on the price. If there's time I might see if there's space for me to drive on, otherwise I'll know for next time.

Huw, I tried to pm this to you but for some reason it just stuck in my outbox.

Hi Huw,

I know in your posting you said that the pace would be steady and the idea would be to regroup at strategic points but I'm an old codger and am usually found in the 15s group on the club runs.

The last thing I would want to do is hold people up, which could take some fun out of the ride for them, if they keep having to wait for me.

I shall be going over, tomorrow, Friday and staying two nights, so as I shall already be over there I could start earlier on the ride and try and judge it so that I get back to Yarmouth at the same time as the rest of you.

To guage that do you know the total mileage and at what approximate speed you guys aim to average, how the route will be signposted and where I would pick it up in Yarmouth?

Cheers

PS Sorry to miss spell your name on the forum

John, we are aiming for a lunch stop at Seaview...http://www.oldfortbarcafe.co.uk/ around 1:00pm.

From there back to Yarmouth is split at Cowes by the chain ferry so should be comfortable for you to manage.

Just get on the coast road after Freshwater and keep going with the sea on your right - can't miss it - I'll be there friday night also if you want to go over the route in more detail
