question for the mods..

Postby Brian Nolan » Fri Oct 02, 2009 4:23 pm

Hi there,

how come you have to be logged in to view topics within the Sportives & Trips section ?

I'm not sure what purpose this serves , to my mind all it does is restrict viewing of these pages & topics. If you want to post then you have to be logged in but I don't see why you have to be logged in just to view ?
cheers,
bry

How dissapointing not to hear any reference to a youth sub culture, bands such as The Jam, The Who and Small Faces. In fact I'd at least expected to see the word Scooter and perhaps Parker Coats being mentioned :(

Brian, the Sportives and Trips section is likely to include information about when people are away from home and for how long. As more than one Liverpool footballer has found out when returning from European duty, the bad guys can put this information to good use. At least I think that was the explanation at the time.

[By the way I'm not a mod, so hope this is right.]

Toks, I was as disappointed as you. Still, time to head off home and crank up some northern soul. Where did I park the Lambretta?

It's from Quadrophenia. I think the Phil Daniels character was from Hackney, wasn't he?

Very brave - let's hope you get better weather than we had last year. Give my regards to what's-her-name from the B&B, and the good folk in the boozer up the road. Look forward to your report first thing Monday 8)
