surely there has to be a catch, or something too good to be true with these lights, they look everything like the tesla, with all the features of a light costing that much. i would love it if i'm wrong, it just doesn't make sense for a £200+ light to go for £50 with free shipping any where in the world.
I don't expect the build and finish quality to be up to the likes of Lupine, Nuke Proof, Hope, Light & Motion et al, e.g. they may not be as water resistant, but I've found a few reviews including some beam shots and they look to be fantastic value for money.
I do think that many of the name-brand lights out there are a bit overpriced; I just can't fathom spending £200+ (let alone £500+, like some of the L&M models!) on a bike light - it's just a fancy torch, after all!
For a slightly less cheap but still good VFM light, check out the Airbike P7 from On One. Same SSC-P7 emitter as the DealExtreme, so probably a genuine 600-700 lumens. The big draw is that they're in stock in the UK, so no 4 week wait for delivery!
