Pearson's in Sutton Dom - http://www.pearsoncycles.co.uk/.

I had an old aluminium frame that I got done by them, built it up with spare odds and sods as a holiday bike with a compact that I wouldn't be too distraught at if easyjet or someone got carried away with their baggage handling, you can see the results here.

Give Guy a call and he'll be helpfulness itself. They don't do them in-house but the bloke they send to does a superb job, in fact the only issue I had was that the finish is so good and deep that the rear dropouts were a bit tight and I had to file them a touch, but the depth of finish is fantastic, better than the original on it. They have a stock range of colours for a one colour finish painted on bits of tube so you can see what you want from them. A one colour respray from that range with the transfers I had put on cost just under £130.

Make sure you strip the frame completely before taking it in to avoid any bits getting mislaid. I forgot to remove the replaceable gear hanger and it took Guy a while to find "the safe place" he'd put it. Faultless service again though as he spent half an hour phoning up suppliers about replacements, trying others from frames in stock, and turning the shop upside down looking for it before finding it. These things are stupid in that almost every one is unique to the frame, even the same manufacturers use different ones on different frames and the one on the later model of the frame I had done was slightly different  . One of Guy's bug-bears.

David Lombari had a frame resprayed by Pearsons too. Don't know about the overall experience but the frame looked v good when he got it back

Look at www.yell.com for a powder coater near to you. Talk to them about getting the frame degreased and put through the process with a batch of other stuff in the colour you want (they cycle through a range of standard colours, but tend to do more black than anything else). It'll probably cost you somewhere between £30 and £50, and the colour will be much "deeper" and more glossy than a spray paint finish. it may be a bit more prone to scratching, and you'll need to blank off before or clear out any threads after the process. It's as good as a stove enamelling finish and a fraction of the cost.
