Bank Holiday rides

Postby Amy » Thu Apr 22, 2010 9:04 am

As my previous thread has been hijacked by Phil's bad back, I thought I'd start a new thread. It needed doing anyway.

So, any one want to do an all day ride down to Hartfield and back? And which day of the Bank Holiday weekend do you prefer? We'll go on the day with the most votes.

It'll be down to those tea gardens mention here before - no racing around, wait for the slowest etc etc. If PeteS isn't working he'll be out to help me lead it...

If it's a tie, I need to know who plans to come so I can make my decision based on that information

I voted Monday but can do any day really.

Back on topic: this codiene really does hit the spot. I've been quite chilled all afternoon.

Here you go hijacking another on of Amy's topics with tales of bad backs and your illicit drug taking. What kind of example are you setting for Hawkes junior?
What we we want to know is do they make you go faster and longer. If yes are you the local dealer

Come on, I need names - who's coming when!

Marcus, I'd be careful about buying drugs off someone who can't spell the name of the drug right - either they're dodgy or it's a fake

Now then, Marcus, are YOU coming on this ride?

And Toks, how about you and Steph? Good training for the ToBM 8)

I voted for Sunday, as I'm marsalling for ECCA on Monday.
Anyone who wants to join me on Monday for an adventure through SE London, Woolwich tunnel or ferry, E London & Essex is more than welcome.

I think I shall say s*d it and go for Saturday - meet at CSS usual time etc, etc.

I could do any day as can at least one other and Pete can only do Saturday - and you never know we might drag a few more off the normal club run

Suits me. I was going to ride Saturday and Monday so I'll just take myself off for a short ride Monday.

Went out for an hour after getting back from the TT today and everything felt good. Which is nice.

One thing: currently the weather forecast (for what it's worth) is dodgy for Saturday but good for Monday. Does that make any difference?

How about, if we turn up on Saturday and it's sh*te we do something else, like a shorter ride? We can then decide which day we'd like to retry the ride (I can't do Sunday as I've promised to go to lunch with my parents :(

Things always crawl out of the woodwork or in this case a rock when the weather gets better
