Giro Amsterdam Phots

Postby Rob Taylor » Tue May 11, 2010 10:47 pm

Heres some pics from Amsterdam...........

Team sky hid themselves away -all those marginal gains - boring zzzzzzzzzzzzzz - had boarding up so no one could distract them

Garmin were much more friendly and had a chat with Millar and Dan martin et al.

compared SKY to little old confidis who had a tiny icle 4 person caravan not some fancy team bus - and no barriers:

Cunego still got loads of attention

due to the crashes Sastre has lost a load of time already

one of me and Georges mates  riding for a different team but still sporting an awsome mullet!

Nice start ramp:

the only man to get a boooo when he was announced :D :

Good old Charlie -never gets much of a mention in the press but was good enough to sign my jersey just before he was about to start his prologue ride!

Great atmosphere along the route when with big crouds in places

Nice paint job for Scarponi:

You can just see the awkward tension from 'cuddles' - it is surley his Giro to loose even if he has a weak team - but after seeing him at the prologue i still recon he will crack under pressure if he leads the race for too long - losing the pink jersey after one day but not loosing too much time i recon is a blessing for him.

Wiggo arrived and sitting down focused prior to starting the prologue in double quick time - helpers taking his bike up the steps etc while others arrived too early and tryed to stay warm.

One for the testers - new aero custom chainset for Millar???????

Greipels pain job:
Not a single podium girl? C'mon this is the Giro. Like the bit about Cofidis, mind you they're not a Pro Tour anymore.

sorry sean those pics came out a bit shakey

yeh was there for day 2 as well - but was a bit packed and didnt take many pics - sky bus was surrounded so wiggo must have hidden for as long as possible.
