Shoulder injury recovery tips?

Postby sonic909 » Fri May 28, 2010 1:12 am

I've messed up my shoulder, hairline fracture on the top of the clavicle and bad muscle/ligament/tendon damage in the joint...

I know shoulders/collarbones ect is common amongst cyclists... do any of you veterans have any experience?

Its gonna be 2 weeks tomorrow, so on sat i'm gonna get the turbo out and get pedaling again!

I busted both my shoulders in a motorcycle accident in 2007. Dr advised take Ibruprofen and exercise / stretch 2 to 3 times daily. Did you not get physio. If not get along to your Dr and asked to be referred immediately.

Get along to doctor to arrange a physio appointment pronto. You need to do exercises that keep it flexible and maintain strength. Physio will be able to determine what limitations you may have and give you a suitable regime.

What Marcus and Dombo both said ^.

I was given a selection of large elastic bands to stretch and told to go swimming when I did something similar.
