clas ohlson are selling Shimano brake and gear cable sets for £8.99 and £5.49 respectvley. Here is the link but they also have them in shop in Whitgift Centre in Croydon if you live/work nearby.

I bought a couple so will put exact spec here when I get home if anyone wants to know the exact spec (e.g. cable tickness etc...).

That's a good deal! Saying that, I've just bought some gear ones from a shop on ebay for £3.99, but with postage that makes it £5.94 - I'm beaten!

Bargains galore in the Planet-X sale. Stock's usually a bit random, but if they happen to have what you're after, ££££ to be saved.

Half price boned gammon joints in Tesco - to keep our protein levels up :D
Bring to boil then stick in oven for an hour or so, works out at a tenth the price of the sliced packaged ham.
Delicious in sandwiches or on buttered toast beneath a lightly poached egg.

Or with a slice of pineapple and a fried egg on top with a portion of chips and a slice of bread on the side. Perfect fueling.....

I think I have some split peas at home so could probably knock up a batch of pease pudding to go with that.

Curses - now I am hungry.
