this is I suppose an informercial on the latest track training for women available in the next 2 weeks.

On saturday theres the usual coached session at Herne Hill from 9.30am for complete never ridden fixed wheel and/or track beginners and from 11am for people who want a good workout who have ridden track a bit before. Top coach Russle Williams is there for that one. ( costs £6 i think)

On sunday is a WOMENS SPECIFIC training day starting at 10.30 at Herne
Hill, its being run by Judith Bonner, Im offering my services as a
coach and will be there having some fun hopefully in the sun. (costs £8 )

the following Saturday (14th August) theres another WOMENS SPECIFIC
track day at Reading velodrome which is my baby as Im the organiser,
its a track training and race day aimed directly at novice women,
theres genuine BCF races going on, with race specific training
directly before each race. SO if you've ever fancied trying it but not
getting blown away by the big girls then head over and you will be
made very welcome. This is limited to a maximum of BCF category 2
riders, but more ideally aimed at anyone who doesnt yet have a
category. (costs £10 and includes bike hire if needed)

AND YET MORE!

tonight Im heading over to Herne Hill for a mid week thrashing at the
derny training session, it starts at 6.30pm, so if you want to join in
and need to hire a bike then be there for 6. The session is simple,
theres 3,4 sometimes 5 derny bikes ( little motorpace put putters)
riding around at different speeds, you join the track and drop behind
a derny of around the speed you want to ride at. This is good for
learning to follow a wheel accurately and also good for a really
really good work out. The speeds gradually build up over the session
although you only have to go as fast as you want. (costs £5 i think)

Come and have a go if you're curious or fancy a decent workout.

if you want any more information on any of the above training sessions
then drop me a line

cheers

Jayne
