Dear Agreeables

Next Saturday, 17th Sept 2011, is the President's 10 Time Trial on the North Holmwood Course starting 10.00. This a stand alone handicap event open to all paid up ACC members with a nice trophy for the winner and with medals and cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It is also the last race in the ACC Time Trial League Series. Andy Watmore won it last year and is therefore the defending champion.

You can enter the race via the forum here:

Due to two events in the TT series having to be cancelled this year - weather and roadworks causing the problems - the best THREE rides will be counted to decide standings in the leagues this year.

All the Divisions - Veteran, Scratch, Handicap, and Women's are incredibly tight and a good ride on Saturday could mean that any one of half a dozen riders could win their division. Keith heads the handicap division by only three points, Keith and Paul are actually tied for first place in the scratch division, Paul and Ian are actually tied for first in the Vets division, and Becky (the defending champ) leads the women's league by a single point over Lucy . As I say it's tight, tight, tight! WOW!!!

Podium Fun - after the event we will have the podium presentations. Joyce, our illustrious Presidents will be there to present the trophy and medals for the President's 10, and all the TT divisions. Flowers and champagne will be provided but unfortunately we won't have podium girls this year.

If you're at a loose end on Saturday and would like to come along to support the riders, and join in the podium fun (the first ride is off at 10.00 and presentations start about 11.30) you'd be more than welcome - the more the merrier. I'm also looking for a half decent photographer who'd be prepared to come along and take some photos. Let me know if you're interested.

We meet, and will hold the presentations, in the car park at the top of the hill in Inholms Lane in North Holmwood. Hopefully see you there.

Best wishes and happy cycling :D :D
