The Event
I am promoting the Addiscombe CC Open 25 Mile Time Trial on Sunday 29th April and require club members’ assistance to ensure that we continue to run an excellent event.
Our promotion is well respected by competitors and we usually have a full field of 120 riders, we had 100 last year even though it was on Easter Sunday! Your help would be greatly appreciated by the club and those racing; I received a number of positive comments and thanks from riders last year. We attract some of the fastest time trialists in the south east to our event so you will get to see some seriously fast folk as a nice prelude to watching the Olympics up close later in the year.
What is required / What do I need to do?
A list of helpers roles that I need to cover is listed below, if you would like a specific role, position on the course, or person to be with, then say so and I will accommodate if possible. There are a number of marshal positions that need covering, there are also other jobs that may suit individual requirements – e.g. pushers off can leave early and HQ helpers are in the warm.
You will need to be at the HQ for 6:15am and should be able to get away by 10 – 10.30am, some can get away a bit earlier if at the start of the course and sign on & pushers off will need to be there a bit earlier. You will receive £5 contribution to your costs/petrol upon return to HQ afterwards.
I will email all helpers full details in advance and a copy of the startsheet when produced.
If you can help please either post here or email me at andrewgreen23 [at] btinternet [dot] com
Where? Plus More Details
The event takes place on the G25/53 course which is based on the dual carriageways around Horsham, just south of the CR café, and the HQ is at Broadbridge Heath Village Hall (RH12 3LY)
There is some information about the event at the website below along with a map of the course. I will update this as required – entries received, start sheet etc.
