Spooky timing as I've planned a ride along the SDW that I was thinking on doing on Sunday.....
Loose plan of ECBR to Wivelsfield, head south to the SDW and then ride it to Eastbourne (circa 40 miles total) before getting the train back.

we used these today - great idea - could probably make use of them for some interesting coastal rides if anyone were interested?

I can recommend the full route from Winchester. With a couple of stops along the way, Cocking and Lewes for example, it can be quite a pleasant leisurely ride. Otherwise it's a good 11-12 hours in the saddle if you do it in a day but great fun nonetheless.
