What Lance really said to Oprah

"Oprah, you can't handle the truth! Oprah, we live in a world of dopers, and those dopers have to be held accountable, who's gonna do it? You? You Slowman? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Simeoni, and you curse my team. You have that luxury, you have that luxury of not knowing what I know. That Simeoni's dropping back probably saved cycling, and my existence, grotesque and incomprehensible to you, provides increased exposure and sponsorship dollars. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me competing in triathlon, you need me in Kona. We use words like FTP, chronic training stress, PR. We use these words as a backbone of a life spent competing, you use them as a punch line. I have neither the time, nor the inclination to explain myself to a woman that rises and sleeps under the very semblance of notoriety that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I'd rather you just said thank you for this interview, and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you get on that treadmill strategically placed in the corner of this set, either way, I don't give a damn what answers you think you are entitled to."
