Anyone got a Cougar Chariot Bike Trailer?

Postby spike » Fri Feb 22, 2013 1:20 pm

Hi

Looking at getting our first child bike trailer for touring purposes - ie multi day as well as local trips. Having researched it a fair bit I am trying to decide between the Cougar Chariot and the Burley D'lite. I have taken a look at the Burley but the only Cougar dealers local have either closed down or are out of stock and unable to say when they will get more. I could order one online but I want to see one before choosing.

We live near Epsom. Anyone got a Cougar Chariot 1 or 2 I could come and take a look at?

I don't have a cougar but do have a secondhand Trek Go-Bug which is pretty good, the kids love it but they can get cold in winter. I don't do as many miles as I had expected mainly because it is pretty hard work off road and there are very few road that feel safe without someone following on a bike riding wide to provide protection from cars.

We have found that converting to a buggie or stroller is handy for going walking in places where a normal buggy cannont cope (like bridalways and the beach) or walking round town.
