Extended Saturday Ride - Saturday 4th December

Postby David Findlay » Tue Nov 30, 2004 12:10 pm

Extended ride on again this Saturday starting 0800 from CSS.

Route:
CSS - Merthsam - Smallfield - Turners Hill - West Hoathly - Ardingly - Balcomb - Handscross - Horsham - Dual Carriageway - Charlwood Cafe (50miles)

Pace is best suited to 19mph riders. Only fast stretch is dual carriageway but like last week, we stick to the pace that suits all riders.

Post a reply if you are interested.....we will wait
Cheers

would have to guess but reckon between 8.45 and 9.00?

If you got there early you could trace the route backwards to meet up with us i.e. go down Turners Hill along the B2028 towards Copthorne. At Junction turn left along B2037 towards Horley. At traffic lights ruen right towards Smallfield.

Let us know and we will make sure we meet up...

And Rob maybe you can go on the front at the Dukes Head and carry us through that rotten section up toward Turners Hill.

Did you get the train back to Brighton?? Impressive.

You'll need to make a point of meeting up next time. Your legs appeared too fresh on the way back..

i'll second that you were certainly kickin our asses :o up the fannies farm hill, I was quite amused to see that you were going to stop and have a cup of tea when you reached the top.

Cheer to Dave, Max and Simon for an epic run to the cafe today, I really enjoyed it along with getting the bonus of bumping into the larger fast group as we came into Charlwood, just in time to blow their doors off in the sprint.

See you next week for the Brighton run.

Cheers
