Keep The Faith

Aha! The subject title of this note sounds like it should be about an 80's long haired poncy heavy rock band - but fear not - it ain't.

After returning from my bike trip to France last September - I set about recovering the cost of repair to my bike from our good friends at Easyjet. Well hey - the damage occured in transit so I figured they should pay. I submitted my claim on 18th September and today, after about a zillion emails and phone calls I got me a cheque for £130.99, the full cost of the repair.

Had I not persisted I'm sure they would have quietly forgot so I guess the message here is - even a budget airline can be made to accept responsibility - eventually. The only minor drawback is the claim took so long to settle that currency fluctuations and my advancing years means all I can buy with the money is a pack of fig roll biscuits and one of those lovely one foot cosy slipper things - nice.
