Which races for the new season

Postby Marek » Sun Jan 16, 2005 7:49 pm

So you guys who are racing this year the Surrey League calendar is now out.

http://www.surreyleague.co.uk/calendar.htm

Which races are people going to go for and when are you intending to start racing?

I am not sure if I am going to be ready in time for early March, but Alfold is a great circuit so the 13 March may be my first race even though I may not be able to quite keep up.

Cheers

Surrey League will be doing a few shorter early season races at Hillingdon and the MOD@Chertsey from mid Feb up to early March.

They'd be aimed at 3rds/4ths and women + anyone who is new to racing.

They'll also be doing similar races at Eastway - these ones are particularly laid back, and they welcome all levels - they're more of a cross between training rides and races - you don't need to have a bcf racing licence, and if it gets a bit much you can stop for a breather !
Eastway circuit is a bit harder than hillingdon but it makes for good training.

I'm going to make the most of these races before the serious stuff begins.

I am just sorting out my racing diary so will let you know what I plan to do soon.
