Has anyone cycled in the Grand Canyon?

Hi, we are going to Vegas in May 16 and thinking of going on to the Grand Canyon for a few days afterwards. Has anyone cycled in the Grand Canyon and if so how did it work? Thanks, Sue.

It's a real shame you didn't post this a couple of years ago as Grahame, formerly of these parts, for many years worked as a ride leader/guide for bikes rides in Colorado during the summers months, and for all I know he still does.

Unfortunately he longer rides with Addiscombe and it appears from his profile that he hasn't posted on here for almost 2 years. Shame as Grahame is one of the most helpful and knowledgeable cyclist I have ever met

Sorry none of this information is of the slightest use to you unless Grahame suddenly reappears between now and next May, but I thought I would rather unhelpfully point out that until recently Addiscombe had among its members a professional guide for bike rides in the Grand Canyon

He regularly posts on our Facebook site so if you join that he should be contactable.
But a quick google shows quite a few companies offering mtb tours, mostly around the North Rim.

Thank you. There is so much online it can be hard to sort out what is good and what is not! I am on the Club Facebook so will have a look for Grahame there.

Alternatively if you wanted you could do a forum search for "Colorado" there's loads of posts with reference to Colorado by Grahame, if you send him a PM he might get an email alert and reply.
