10 speed chain rings

Er can you use them with a 9 speed chain and cassette /shifters?

Also would a Campag 10 speed Crankset work with ( speed Shimano cassette/shifters/chain etc)

I am using a 10 speed Campag Daytona chainset with a 9 speed Ultegra groupset. Works fine.
