I think diagnosing problems and advising on treatment on the forum could be a bit risky. You need to make sure that whatever exercises you're doing to strengthen the knee are appropriate the type of injury you have sustained and do not make it worse by exacerbating any muscle imbalances. Suggest get physio or similar to take proper look.

Thankfully it's not something I'm familiar with, but I've got a friend who's a physio so will drop him an email and see what he says. Sounds quite gruesome.

I get something like that too - I think that previous years in the saddle must've weakened 'em (or is it just lurve  ). I do get the occasional pop out but mostly they just tend to twinge and kind of semi-pop as a warning. I then tend to hop on the better one. I am constantly fiddling with my cleats (leave it) as I'm never 100% happy with how I connect to the bike - so to speak. I would be interested in any cleat related tips....As for my shoulder - let's not go there.

I suspect that eating more sushi would be a good place to start but I like your idea about running - I just wish I didn't hate actually doing it so much.

Ugh - that sounds painful - couldn't say what it would be. There are too many group sets of muscles/ligaments in that area to speculate.

I usually see the people at Crystal Palace Sports Injury Clinic - they're very good and can spot imbalances/sources of injury quite efficiently.

And while I'm on the subject they usually give reductions to sports clubs if you fill out the appropriate form - could be something worth doing. I'll pick up a form when next I'm over there.
