will addiscombe ever rent out hillingdon and hold a road race for club members only? would be a good chance to invite non racers to race for fun!

twickenham do it every year, so it is possible!

now addiscombe have a super star in Mr sadler, why not exploit a different side rather than just social :?:

Sounds interesting.

I am sure we could get quite a few people along to it.

Is it a big hassle to organise a road race?

Monty could be down there taking his register making sure everyone has paid thier subs!
Toks sprinting up the hills
Rob sprinting after him
I'll be at the back........

something like that wouldnt hard to organise, because hillingdon doesnt require marshals..u just need a time keeper, judge person,,someone to make teas, a doctor on hand and yeah, if its a club event i cant really see you needing more than that
all this could easily be paid for out of all the money addiscombe had, then just charge a £10 entry to acc members!!!

someone hastle someone to get this going.....youll all be bitten by the bug and love it!!

Great idea. Maybe also consider putting on a coaching session for newbies. A lot of first timers are put off racing because they haven't got a clue what to do and think they'll get A) dropped and B) in somebodys way. Have a beginners coaching session in the morning to teach basic RR skills and tactics and then racing proper in the afternoon. This will also allow you to form ability groups so slow guys don't get blown out and never go racing again.

Sounds a good idea - would you not handicap it like Surrey League do on Thursday evenings, so that newer riders/women get a fair chance ?
And no, I'm not after your PS1 games Rob !

Thats a good idea, and if Rob is riding we could send him off the day after everyone else.

Cheers
