I hold a 'First Aid at Work' certificate. Why do you ask?

on saturday 20th august the addiscombe road race champs are being held at hillingdon, and we need a first aider....you would fit the bill perfectly!

are you going to be coming to enter the race aswell?

every acc member should be there :) whether racing or supporting

Would be prudent to get insurance as a first aider. I am first aider at work but haven't yet got round to getting insurance for doing it outside of work. It's available from St Johns' for about 15 quid if memory serves and probably worth having if you're providing a service for an event rather than just giving first aid to someone you happen across in the street.

Thanks Tamar, I already have the insurance in place.

Rob....Can you let me have details? Where and how to get there, times etc.

No, I will not be competing. Far too old and wise for such hard exercise!!

Hmmm, considering I was lying in hospital two weeks ago unable to move, drugged up to my eyeballs on morphine to take away the most unbelievable pain for 5 days, I would have thought that being beaten by Bryan Taylor by a wheel after what everyone said was the hardest Palace ever, wasn't too bad.

Get back to be when the word 'Elite' appears on your licence

So close, yet so far........
Only 7 weeks till I head back to Australia to turn pro anyway.
Hope you're well Rob, you should get down to Herne Hill on Saturday morning for a good 4 hour training session.

Got something lined up, enough to support me without having to work.
Will be riding full time for 7 months back home & then heading over to Belgium for 6 months to try my luck.

Herne Hill starts @ 10.30am every sat. & goes till 1.30pm. The Derny usually comes out & there are a number of good drills put on by the VCL to keep you on your toes! It costs £7 for the 4 hrs & is well worh it, even for novis trackies.

Maria was there last week & I think again this sat. It's good to see her giving it a go & is coming along very well, look out Nicole Cooke :D

Next Sat. is the roadmans 25 meet so the traiing session will be cut short by an hour. If you can't make it this week, at least try before the season ends.

Rob
What sort of time will this event be starting next week. Might come over to lend my support.
Will anybody be riding over-could meet say at Kingston bridge, or somewhere.
Cheers
