Clubrun this Saturday

Postby sylv » Tue Aug 30, 2005 3:45 pm

I booked with Dauphin Cycles for a fitting session at 11.30am.

If I go out with the fast group at 9.15 and don't stop at Charlwood will I make it in time? Not too familiar with the Box Hill route so if anyone else fancies a non-stop ride (or with a short break for food/water) please let me know, thanks. Otherwise I'll dig out the maps ...

I don't mind going straight to box hill.

but...

I ain't going in no fast group fool...............

mainly because I can't guarantee I will make it to the cafe alive.

What you should do, or what I would do, If you don't mind me suggesting, as Sean proposed, is leave CS with us and ride through Reigate to Dorking, carry on the A25 or whatever it is as everyone turns of to head down to Charlwood. Turn right at the main roundabout (A24) before the town, drag it down to Box Hill, cane it up and down a couple of times because you should be early, do the do at Dauphins, come back and do the zig zag again to compare your new set up and you may even meet up with fast/19 group if you time it right (12.00 - 12.30 usually)
Sorted!

My turn for some advice please,

not sure whether I should do a booked 10 TT at Holmwood on Saturday with an easy club run before hand (ie just to get there), in advance of the 10th Sept ACC 10.

or

Race at Hillingdon this Sat afternoon and try and get another team for Chertsey MOD on the 10th and not bother with the ACC 10 TT.

I'm torn! although think it should be the racing?

Its teams of five for Chertsey, just checked, not sure what our team is going to be. I am not able to make it now as I am off to see Chelsea slaughter Sunderland at the Bridge.

Cheers

Marek....
