Sean- i have something similar so does Paul Brown, its made by VDO and it does %age, temp, alt, total alt gained, as well as speed-avg speed- max speed- navigator and a million other functions, superb value- i got mine from wiggle last year for about £75- tested it on Ventoux where they signpost alt and %age and it was pretty accurate.
The one you want just looks like an eastern europe version of a spirit level!
