Jennie's Chaved Bike

Postby Alan M » Sat Sep 24, 2005 6:25 pm

Jennie my daughter has had her second MB stolen from Bristol Town centre. I am thinking of building her something a little less attractive to thieves  and am looking for gifted or very cheap parts. :) I am hoping to acquire an old MB or RB frame and build it from there to something that is more understated but sufficiently cool for a 5'5" girl of our times 8)

Ever Hopeful

Decathlon MTB £80.

Can't get much more chavtastic than that.

Well actually Raleigh Apollo £80 from Halfords must be a close second.

Try bike jumbles for bits and pieces as well as complete bikes. I believe there is one at Ripley Village Hall (just off the A3) next Saturday, 8 October. It means missing the club run, but we all have to make sacrifices when family's involved.

Many thanks to Connor for coming up with a FRRE ladies MB in a more or less usable condition - just needed some new cables and a tyre and tube set for £20 from Wiggle and away we go! Thanks mate, and to others for helpful suggestions and offers  He also has some other bits including what looked looked like a serviceable 531 frame.

Cheers,
