Buy/sell/swap night

Postby Jon H » Tue Sep 26, 2006 5:02 pm

Any interest in having an evening at the clubroom to bring along all your unwanted bike (and non-bike) stuff to sell, buy or swap with other club members?

Well, tomorrow's a bit short notice, so I suggest Wednesday 8th November.

Right, I OKayed it with the guvnor (Joyce) last night, so Wednesday 8th November is the night. 8.30pm at the clubroom.

Bring along your surplus bike kit and see if you can flog it or swap it for something else. Or just bring along some dosh and go shopping. It's the perfect opportunity to grab some goodies to complete that winter hack bike project.

So, who's bringing what? and what are you looking out for.

I'll definitely be bringing:
Mountainbike STI sets (8 and 9 speed)
Mountainbike front wheels (rim brake only)
Mwo triple chainsets (square taper)
Mountainbike handlebars (flat)
Mountainbike stems (aheadset)
Roadbike handlebars
Roadbike stem (Cinelli, quill)
Downtube shifters (7 speed)
Old road brakes (600EX single pivots, Wienmann centre pulls)
Saddles
Road rear wheel (Shimano 105, 7 speed, 126mm OLN hub, Mavic MA3(?) rim, DB spokes)

May be bringing:
7 speed mountainbike rear wheel (LX hub, Trek Matrix rim)
Seat posts
Tyres
Pedals
Old but perfectly functional cantilever brakes (good for on CX bikes)
Mudguards (just to annoy Huw  )
XT V-brake arms

Looking for:
130mm OLN 8/9/10 speed shimano hubbed rear wheel (or just a hub).
9 speed road STI set
Cateye computer transmitter and handlebar mount

I'm bringing an unused, still in its box, ACC Yellow, Giro Monza helmet (size small).

Haven't had time to hunt through my stuff yet. Might also have a couple of saddles that do not suit my backside.

Bringing:
Shimano Sora front and rear mechs, and sti levers. (8 speed)
Shimano ergo brake levers.
Unbranded dual pivot calipers.
2 x quill stems (different reaches).
Specialized saddle pack.
Yellow (ACC?) bar tape.
Campagnolo cassette remover.
Campagnolo 9 speed cassette (13-23).
Pro Co2 pump and 2 cartridges.
Cheap 3T drop bars.
3 wheels (2f, 1r) - R=with Shimano 6 speed cassette. All fat(32) touring(I think) and solid.

Hoping to find:
