Awesome Mountain Bike for sale

Whilst everyone's talking about mountain bikes - is anyone in the club interested in mine.

2000 Cannondale Scalpel team replica. Blue & White. Yes its the fancy, all singing and dancing one with electronic lock-out Lefty fork and manual lock out rear suspension. Magura discs just reconditioned by Magura (at a cost of £100 which includes new master cylinders and rotors). Compact Drive and Cannondale's awesome integrated BB system (same as on the CAAD road bikes).

It's a masterpiece! Raced it for one season in 2001 and its been grargaed almost every day since so its in perfect condition (as Pete Munden, who recently serviced it will testify). Every time it appears on the trails people stop dead just to look at it. Gorgeous machine!

Why sell it? I can hardly find time to keep my body and road bikes on the tarmac let alone ride in the dirt. In short, its going to waste.

I can enter a lengthy sales process on ebay and get a small fortune for it but I'd much rather somebody in the club had it even if its at a much lower cost.

It's in the Cycling Weekly workshop in Croydon waiting, no BEGGING to be ridden in anger, which is what it was built for. So if anyone wants to come and have a look let me know. I'd be looking for offers beginning in the region of £750. To reiterate, it's in just as good condition now as when it was new and it cost £3,500 in 2000!

Marek - Mrs Siwicki would look amazing on this lightweight, stealth bike. Much better than some £400 lump of pig-iron she'll end up with. How can you look at her on a cheapo MTB after all the support she's given you this season.

GET A GRIP MAN! She needs this bike! Sell your trumpets or something!
