I would but .... cyclocross rules me out again this week and probably will for the rest of the year.

What sort of distance Marco ? Not sure - ask the guy that lives next door to you, he's leading the ride! but it won't be like one of your epic summer rides would like it to be suitable for novices.
Don't worry about the builder if it's my mate from work, he'll be alright, I can vouch for that - just show him where the kettle is
