Andrew, I think today's meeting point is Leigh village hall which John Leitch has booked. His note said: [quote]Previously we have started from Brockham, but the upsurge of interest means a move to a village hall for the Sunday Nov 19 session.
You need to make your way to Leigh....so where is it?
In the past we had one rider who arrived two hours late having been to Leigh in Kent (I didn’t realise there was such a place).
To find this Leigh, the one in Surrey, on the map, find the mid-point of the main road (A25) running between Dorking and Reigate. There is a roundabout at this mid-point where you turn off and head southwards.
The road passes through Betchworth and crosses the river Mole on a narrow bridge.
Over Snowerhill, a little up-and-down climb, you then drive through flat fields for a mile or so before reaching a T-junction with the Severn Stars pub on your right.
This is known locally as Dawesgreen and is part of the village of Leigh.
Turn right into Common Road and the hall is to your right after about 200m…. it’s right opposite the cricket field.
