after Sundays 6 hour soaking and the upcoming Etape du Dales I was wondering if overshoes do any good ?
I have a heavy duty pair for commuting ( getting extremely tatty now )that I wear in the winter/autumn etc that do keep the cold out and seem to keep most of the rain out. However - never used them in a 6 - 8 hr downpour and wondered how effective they are ? most people on Sundays Dartmoor ride seemed to be using them and , if they can stop my feet going numb I would rush out and buy a pair ..
any thoughts ?
cheers,
